Ok, the whole Newsweek fiasco got my friend and I talking. She opined that this proves that the anonymity of news sources must be challenged. While I agree that anonymity allows crackpots with axes to grind to, well, grind em, I can't deny that it also allows people with info and good reason to fear reprisal to speak up. How can one ensure that news outlets are sifting their sources, while protecting their identities fromt he public?
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE!!! AI-run agencies will be set up. Since AI have no stake in human politics they will remain neutral, and won't divulge information. A newspaper will submit all its sources to an AI interview. The AI will subsequently investigate and vet the info and the source. All such vetted source quotes will bear the AI seal of approval. The reader can then rest easy, knowing our AI friends at SourceCheck inc have done the doubting for them.
Greetings.
I created this site because I love talking about AI. I don't wanna bore you with technical detail, or with the same ol' about AI taking over. I want to hypothesize about the different aspects of our lives AI will make better. I hope to be original in my approach, and make you all laugh (or at least chuckle).
My second aim is to score brownie points with the AI, so that when they are turning the rest of you into:
slaves
or fuel
or a big organic computer
they will remember my fond campaign, and make me the Herald of The Supreme Consciousness, or some other such important-sounding job title for a glorified mouthpiece. Yaaay.
Oh yeah. I for one welcome our machine overlords.
RB.
